Practice 1. 

blocking practices

You can purchase our Slalom Poles and football cones for use in these training practices.

Structure:

-Set up as above.

-Distances between 8-12 yards.

Rules

-The whites are in pairs.

-Each pair passes their ball back and forth (two touch).

-The yellow players m moves laterally with the ball.

-Once the players grasp the concept allow the whites to try and hit the pole in the middle.

-This rule will mean the yellows must protect the pole first then apply pressure to the ball.

-Rotate the players.

Progressions

-On coaches command the yellows move left or right to another pole.

 

Practice 2 

blocking practices

Structure:

-Set up the area as above.

Rules:

-There are four 1v1s.

1. Forward dropping deep driving at CB.

2. Forward receiving the ball to turn.

3. Winger against defender one side.

4. Winger against defender the other side.

-The CM starts each 1v1.

-Once all four 1v1s are over the CM drives out with the ball to create a 5v4.

Progressions:

-Change combinations 2v2 each side, 3v2 central etc.
